7-6-19 ADAT Payson area route inspections

Post by -Spike- » Fri May 17, 2019 6:16 pm

We're going to the Payson area to escape the heat. Not sure where we'll be inspecting, but we know where we're meeting!

As with any ADAT run, if no one is signed up 24 hours before the trip we may not go to the meeting spots, so make sure you sign up!

Meeting time and place-
9AM at the Maverik Gas Station 715 N Beeline Hwy, Payson, AZ 85541

Lunch will be provided for folks who let us know they're coming at least 24 hours before the event start time. Either register on the TRAL Event Calendar or reply to this thread. Please let us know if you plan on bringing guests. Look for the option to add a note if you register on the calendar.

Keep an eye on this thread for the latest updates.

Back up to the pines again! Once more for the sort of rounded TRAL experience. Started off pretty tame, got lost, found driving challenge, replaced markers. The whole gamut, really. :hillbilly:

Unfortunately just past this spot, the route got a little too narrow for full size.

Had a plan on where to meetup for lunch, but that spot was taken by campers. We had to improvise, but I think we did alright. :hhmm:

Most of the routes which head north in this area from Control Rd go right up to the base of the Mogollon Rim. This one in particular met up with the Highline trail.

One more in the area to check off before calling it a day. This one was a bit bumpier than usual, but still offered some nice views.
