ADAT Superior area Route Inspections WED 1-9-19

Post by -Spike- » Sun Dec 23, 2018 5:07 pm

TRAL volunteers are prohibited from doing any work in the Forest while the 'government shutdown' is in effect. This run is on the schedule but volunteer participation will not be possible if the government shutdown is still in effect. This does not prohibit the general public from tagging along, on a purely social basis. Please see the post 'A word about TRAL runs during the Government Shutdown-' for more details.

The Globe district is nearly complete! There are only a few routes left that TRAL has not inspected at least once. We hope to get those inspected on this run. The route numbers are 317, 2396, 2404, and 3448 (which is technically in the Mesa district). Fair warning- these routes total less than 4 miles and are spread far and wide, so this day is going to be a lot of driving between destinations, much of it on pavement or graded roads, only to put up a sign or two and spend a few minutes running the routes (if they even exist). The path to do this is 50-60 miles long from the meeting spot to where we should be joining the US 60 for the ride home. Most TRAL route inspection days have the potential for fun, but this one may be more tedious than usual. Don't say you weren't warned!

Note- this is the same day as the TRAL Monthly Meeting in Mesa. We plan to attend, but as always we can't predict precisely what we'll run into on the trail.

Meeting place and time-
9am
Circle K in Superior, Az
1113 US-60, Superior, AZ 85173

Please sign up on the TRAL Events Calendar if you plan to attend.TRAL will provide lunch for anyone signed up at least 24 hours before the event. If you are planning to bring guests, let us know in the Notes when you sign up.

If for any reason you can't sign up on the Events Calendar, please contact me or reply to this thread below.

Please remember to check back here for the latest updates.
