ADAT route inspection run, A-Cross Road Saturday September 22, 2018

We're planning more route inspections on Saturday the 22nd of September, and now we know where!

We're heading down to Tonto Basin and then we're going to run A-Cross Road (FR60) and try to catch all the remaining uninspected routes that are in the area. We don't know the condition of the trails, so come prepared for anything. A-Cross Road is graded and leads to highways on both ends, so early bug-out is easy for those who don't like working late.

Meeting time and place:
9:00 AM
Tonto Basin Marketplace
45994 AZ-188, Tonto Basin, AZ 85553

Lunch will be provided for those that register for this event at least 24 hours before the event start time on the TRAL Calendar. If you plan to bring a guest who cannot sign up, please add a note to that effect when you register so we know how much food to bring!

In addition to getting out and seeing the area, ADAT route inspection runs are a great opportunity to learn about route inspection. Anyone interested in becoming a Crew Leader and assisting TRAL in doing the work that keeps our Tonto National Forest routes open to the public is urged to come along.

It was still a little hotter than expected but it was a beautiful and with amazing scenery! For the better part of the day, we asked Richard if any of the trails would take us to the lake, he kept saying No. We must have broke him, as he finally took us to the lake!

Here's the link to my pics - Enjoy!
