Unfortunate happening after Lower Sycamore Cleanup. This from Natural Restorations:

We had hoped to share the weight of the dumpster from Saturday's Lower Sycamore Cleanup with all of you today, those of you who attended the event know the dumpster was already full and couldn't take anymore trash. We just found out some careless individuals decide to open the dumpster door after we left on Saturday and let a bunch of trash out to the point where the door cannot be closed.

Did they stop there? Nope! They overfilled the top of the dumpster making it impossible to transport. There's several feet of trash piled up over the top of the dumpster fill line. Thanks to these careless, disrespectful individuals, we now have to order and pay for another dumpster and go back out to move enough trash from one dumpster into another to get the door closed make it safe to transport. The first picture shows you what the dumpster looked like at 2pm Saturday and the second picture is what it looked like after 3pm yesterday.

Justin and I are figuring out a time to go out there on Thursday or Friday to take care of this so the dumpster can be safely removed. If anyone is interested in coming out with us , we could really use the help. Please let us know so we can keep you posted on the day and time we will be out there.

Sounds like uninformed people were just trying to help? Hard to fault folks for trying to do the right thing.

I'm not sure why they would feel the need to open the doors but it seems like they should be locked from now on when the dumpster is in a public place.

Could be people being helpful although given the behavior of most visitors to the area that seems unlikely or could be someone just dumping in a handy dumpster.

Either way, seems like some procedural changes are needed.

I have not wanted to look at the pictures, this pisses me off, so sometime has passed, maybe the rant wont be so long, maybe.

This area was cleaned on 4-26-2016 by AZ4X4 and Rock Stars motorcycle clubs, then a 4 day effort 2-13 to 2-17-2017 by Natural Restorations, and again on 4-15-2017 by Natural Restorations, most of the summer was fire restrictions, so should be pretty clean, right, not so much! :bang:

Apparently this oops was fatal for the steering wheel holder!

Product placement, unfortunately they are local and don’t care, and sorry to admit that I own several of their products. These companies make money on the destruction of our public lands. The AZ shooting community is capable of organizing huge gun shows, competitions, etc, but well proven to be totally incapable of lifting a finger in taking responsibility for the destruction that their community causes on our public lands, don’t care. The term “responsible shooter” is a total misnomer, doesn’t exist, responsible citizens would not stand for this, putting the task of taking care of their problem on the other responsible recreation communities. The sooner there is a shooting ban on public lands, the better.
