We have a couple of erosion issues to contend with. We are hoping to load a trailer or two with rock with some mechanized help from Chad at the Forest Service's Goldfield work center before the event, and use that material to perform repairs on the two spots. We will probably look at doing some water control as well. We'll be moving rocks and using shovels and other hand tools, so bring gloves and dress for sun exposure.

The Bulldog area is adopted by the Copper State 4 Wheelers club through the Adopt A Trail (ADAT) program, and they will be attending this event in force. They recently attended one of the Asbestos Point workdays and kicked ass on it.

The Bulldog area normally requires a permit, however, attendees on this event do not require individual permits as long as they are with the group. If you would like a permit (and the freedom to leave the group without risking a ticket or being locked behind the gates) they can be obtained online on the Tonto National Forest website, and take about 48 hours to get, or they are available over the counter at the Mesa Ranger District office.

If all goes as planned, count on a late lunch (probably chicken salad sandwiches, chips, and cookies), and then some recreational wheeling after that.

Lunch will be provided to those who sign up at least 24 hours prior to the event.
CS4W members please coordinate with Jim Nosset and we'll get a headcount from him.

It was a good day hanging out and working with Copper State! Put several trailers full of rock on a couple of erosion sites. Doing this, keeping our routes in good condition may reduce the grader action. The first site.

The plan wasn't to completely full the hole, just protect the route. The water flow was eating into the driving area, there was enough room, just, now the flow is moved over, reduced and the embankment rock hardened.

The upstream water off, should significantly reduce the flow through the repaired area.
